The Government of Bangladesh will take care of the security of FDMNs and the UN working here and its affiliated organizations and local and international NGO workers.


In addition, if the FDMN's presence in Bhasanchar affects the surrounding local areas and people, the UN agencies will take necessary steps to address it.


State Minister Enamur said one lakh Rohingyas have been relocated to Bhasanchar in Hatia upazila of Noakhali on the directive of the Prime Minister with the aim of reducing overcrowding and environmental risks. .He said 1440 shelters and 120 cyclone shelters were constructed in Bhasanchar.


So far, 18,748 people from 4,624 families have been taken there. He also said plans to relocate another 60,000 Rohingyas to Bhasanchar in the next three months.He expects the UN to play an active role in sending the Rohingya back to Myanmar. The UNHCR representative said that with the overall cooperation of the Bangladesh government and the people, it has become easier to ensure shelter, food and medical care to the displaced people of Myanmar.
